According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through September 24, 2015 were 11.1 million metric tons (MMT), 18 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 13.6 MMT.

Net sales of 77,100 MT for delivery in marketing year 2015/16, a marketing-year low, were down 73 percent from the previous week and 75 percent from the prior 4-week average and below trade expectations of 250,000 to 450,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Indonesia (65,449 HRS, 7,760 white), Brazil (11,000 HRW, 7,699 SRW), Colombia (6,349 SRW), Liberia (6,000 HRW), China (5,375 HRS, -47 SRW), and Mexico (319 HRW, 2,635 HRS, 1,412 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 45 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 55 percent.
