According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2017/18 marketing year, through June 29, 2017 were 8.39 million metric tons (MMT), 1 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 8.46 MMT but 3 percent ahead of the 5-year average pace.

Net sales of 375,300 metric tons (MT) were reported for delivery in marketing year 2017/18. Sales were within trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (65,300 HRS, 39,700 white), South Korea (43,000 HRW, 11,400 HRS, 25,700 white), Mexico (57,265 HRW, -5,441 SRW, 22,063 white), Bangladesh (57,749 HRW), and Nigeria (8,190 HRW, 25,000 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2017/18 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 27.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 31 percent of total projected exports, on par with the 5-year average.
