According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through January 29, 2015 were 20.3 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 26.7 MMT.

Net sales of 397,600 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 27 percent from the previous week, but up 11 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Mexico (48,946 HRW, 11,641 HRS, 46,603 SRW), Thailand (55,000 SRW), Japan (50,833 HRW, 747 HRS, 111 white), the Philippines (18,572 HRS, 12,472 white), unknown destinations (-8,800 HRW, 22,000 HRS, 2,500 SRW, 11,540 white), and Italy (170 HRS, 25,000 durum).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 81 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 84 percent of exports committed by this date.
