According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through July 24, 2014 were 9.73 million metric tons (MMT), 25 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 12.9 MMT.

Net sales of 801,000 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 81 percent from the previous week and 92 percent from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations of 350,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Nigeria (127,000 HRW, 40,000 SRW), Panama (99,300 HRW, 16,000 HRS, 13,150 SRW), Brazil (106,130 HRW, 10,000 SRW), Mexico (35,453 HRW, 502 HRS, 52,872 SRW), Japan (24,350 HRW, 39,764 HRS, 10,438 white), and the Philippines (9,000 HRW, 25,000 HRS, 16,000 white).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT.
