According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through February 12, 2015 were 21.0 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 27.7 MMT.

Net sales of 266,600 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 35 percent from the previous week and 41 percent from the prior 4-week average and below trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Sri Lanka (64,500 white), Thailand (54,916 HRW, 27,041 HRS, -19,363 white), Indonesia (63,000 HRS, -800 white), South Korea (8,700 HRW, 15,800 HRS, 23,800 white), Japan (8,633 HRW, 19,495 HRS, 14,821 white), and Mexico (11,550 HRW, 1,595 HRS, 25,315 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 86 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 88 percent of exports committed by this date.
