According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through February 11, 2016 were 17.3 million metric tons (MMT), 18 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 21.0 MMT.

Net sales of 253,600 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2015/16 were down 4 percent from the previous week, but 3 percent higher than the prior 4-week average. Sales were within trade expectations of 200,000 to 400,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (9,592 HRW, 30,800 HRS, 12,243 white), Israel (50,342 HRW), Yemen (47,250 white), Mexico (18,384 HRW, 4,938 HRS, 18,130 SRW), and Thailand (6,259 HRW, 25,978 HRS, -8,000 white).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 21.1 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 83 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 89 percent.
