According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through May 14, 2015 were 23.3 million metric tons (MMT), 27 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 31.8 MMT.

Net sales of 74,400 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2014/2015 were down 36 percent from the previous week and down noticeably from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations between 150,000 metric tons net reduction and 50,000 metric tons net increase. Increases were primarily for Peru (34,072 HRW), Japan (22,443 HRS), Singapore (22,000 white), Dominican Republic (8,019 HRW, 2,768 HRS, 4,312 SRW), United Kingdom (13,200 HRS), and Mexico (2,381 HRW, 978 HRS, 7,420 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 23.4 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 93 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 105 percent of exports committed by this date.
