According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through February 25, 2016 were 18.0 million metric tons (MMT), 17 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 21.8 MMT.

Net sales of 344,300 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2015/16 were down 11 percent from the previous week, but 42 percent higher than the prior 4-week average. Sales were within trade expectations of 200,000 to 450,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Mexico (26,859 HRW, 11,050 HRS, 7,999 SRW), South Korea (5,590 HRW, 18,622 HRS, -14 SRW, 15,024 white), Ecuador (16,863 HRW, 18,743 SRW), Italy (576 HRS, 30,000 durum), and Venezuela (30,000 HRS).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 21.1 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 86 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 93 percent.
