According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through March 13, 2014 were 29.5 million metric tons (MMT), 19 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 24.7 MMT.

Net sales of 401,800 MT for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were down 16 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 250,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Nigeria (64,558 HRW, 12,151 SRW), Jamaica (31,000 HRS, 29,000 SRW), Ecuador (13,100 HRW, 10,000 HRS, 21,800 SRW), Japan (29,444 HRS, 15,000 white), the Philippines (42,300 HRS, 1,000 white), unknown destinations (-34,100 HRW, 49,940 HRS, -20,200 SRW, 33,500 white), and Brazil (27,500 HRW).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 32.0 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 93 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 95 percent of exports committed by this date.
