According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through April 2, 2015 were 23.2 million metric tons (MMT), 23 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 30.3 MMT.

Net sales of 319,900 metric tons for delivery in 2014/2015 were up 97 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations of 50,000 to 150,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the China (57,500 HRS), Nigeria (22,000 HRW, 24,598 HRS), Malaysia (38,471 HRS), Guatemala (17,100 HRW, 7,300 HRS, 12,650 white), El Salvador (13,800 HRW, 7,500 HRS, 10,900 white), and Cyprus (22,000 HRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 95 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 100 percent of exports committed by this date.
