According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through November 14, 2013 were 21.8 million metric tons (MMT), 37 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 15.9 MMT.

Net sales of 618,100 MT for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were above trade expectations of 375,000 to 475,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (91,828 HRW, 49,998 HRS, 31,086 white), South Korea (21,500 HRW, 18,600 HRS, 800 SRW, 39,600 white), Brazil (46,172 HRW, 27,609 SRW), Nigeria (60,254 HRW, -1 SRW), and the Philippines (10,000 HRS, 32,000 white).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 29.9 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 73 percent of total projected exports, up from the five-year average of 66 percent of exports committed by this date.
