According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through April 7, 2016 were 19.3 million metric tons (MMT), 17 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 23.3 MMT.

Net sales of 124,700 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2015/16 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 41 percent from the prior 4-week average. Sales were within trade expectations of 0 to 400,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (2,200 HRW, 46,200 HRS, 17,600 white), Mexico (6,212 HRW, -105 HRS, 32,352 SRW, 900 white), Brazil (23,000 SRW), Algeria (20,500 durum), the Dominican Republic (1,900 HRW, 3,780 HRS, 3,100 SRW), and Indonesia (4,900 HRS, 1,500 white).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 21.1 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 92 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 101 percent.
