According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through July 23, 2015 were 7.69 million metric tons (MMT), 21 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 9.73 MMT.

Net sales of 699,400 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were up 39 percent from the previous week and 86 percent from the prior 4-week average and were above trade expectations of 400,000 to 600,000 MT. Increases were primarily for unknown destinations (40,000 HRW, 99,435 HRS, 61,100 SRW), Mexico (45,658 HRW, 29,180 HRS, 41,516 SRW), Taiwan (37,350 HRW, 58,215 HRS, 1,000 SRW, 11,250 white), Italy (45,257 HRS, 32,721 durum), and Nigeria (42,000 HRW, 17,493 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.9 MMT.
