According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through October 31, 2013 were 20.9 million metric tons (MMT), 40 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 14.9 MMT.

Net sales of 416,800 MT for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were within trade expectations of 350,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Taiwan (20,350 HRW, 57,400 HRS, 12,300 white), Mexico (10,289 HRW, 1,000 HRS, 69,504 SRW), Peru (60,000 HRW), the Philippines (38,000 HRS, 17,500 white), unknown destinations (5,000 HRW, 14,500 HRS, 20,000 white), Brazil (23,160 HRW, 4,570 SRW), and Italy (11,000 HRS, 10,000 durum).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 29.9 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 70 percent of total projected exports, up from the five-year average of 63 percent of exports committed by this date.
