According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through January 30, 2014 were 26.7 million metric tons (MMT), 27 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 21.0 MMT.

Net sales of 638,800 MT for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were down 15 percent from the previous week, but up 62 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 500,000 to 750,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Guatemala (65,200 HRW, 33,700 HRS, 34,300 white, 4,800 durum), Japan (47,130 HRW, 21,660 HRS, 1,695 SRW, 26,250 white), Brazil (77,500 HRW, 5,000 SRW), the Philippines (54,129 HRS, -756 white), and Mexico (7,596 HRW, -249 HRS, 44,400 SRW, -447 white).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 30.6 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 87 percent of total projected exports, up from the five-year average of 84 percent of exports committed by this date.
