According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through June 11, 2015 were 5.05 million metric tons (MMT), 27 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 6.90 MMT.

Net sales totaling 315,700 metric tons were reported for delivery in 2015/2016 and were within trade expectations of 200,000 to 400,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (19,845 HRW, 26,511 HRS, 51,325 white), Mexico (48,105 HRW, 15,158 HRS, 27,243 SRW), Iraq (55,000 HRS), Brazil (26,000 HRW), Italy (20,000 durum), and Malaysia (47 HRS, 8,250 white).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 20 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 24 percent of exports committed by this date.
