According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2017/18 marketing year, through November 23, 2017 were 17.2 million metric tons (MMT), 9 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 18.9 MMT.

Net sales of 184,400 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2017/18 were down 8 from the previous week, and down 59 percent from the prior 4-week average. Sales were well below trade expectations of 250,000 to 450,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Colombia (48,200 MT), Japan (44,600 MT), the Philippines (44,300 MT), Mexico (27,500 MT), and Peru (12,200 MT).

USDA forecasts 2017/18 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 27.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 63 percent of total projected exports.
