According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through May 1, 2014 were 31.6 million metric tons (MMT), 18 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 26.8 MMT.

Net sales of 320,500 metric tons for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were up 49 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations of 100,000 to 300,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Brazil (76,500 HRW), Indonesia (51,425 HRS, 15,000 white), Thailand (15,000 HRW, 16,000 HRS, 19,000 white), Mexico (34,158 HRW, 7,599 HRS, 1,071 SRW), Nigeria (32,570 HRW, 169 HRS), and Italy (31 HRS, 23,750 durum).
USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 32.0 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 99 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 103 percent of exports committed by this date.
