According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through December 26, 2013 were 24.5 million metric tons (MMT), 28 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 19.1 MMT.

Net sales of 248,500 MT for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were down 58 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average and below trade expectations of 350,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Indonesia (10,000 HRW, 45,000 HRS, 10,000 white), Thailand (8,500 HRW, 29,000 HRS, 22,000 white), Colombia (10,000 HRW, 10,000 HRS, 8,500 SRW, 20,000 white), Guatemala (15,687 HRW, 6,100 HRS, -1,120 SRW, 5,304 white), and Peru (22,000 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 29.9 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 82 percent of total projected exports, up from the five-year average of 76 percent of exports committed by this date.
