According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through February 13, 2014 were 27.7 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 22.3 MMT.

Net sales of 424,500 MT for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were down 29 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 400,000 to 700,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (31,000 HRW, 96,443 HRS, 20,925 white), unknown destinations (61,000 HRW, 23,000 HRS, 125 SRW, 5,000 white), the Philippines (9,000 HRW, 36,000 HRS, 33,000 white), Uruguay (50,000 HRW), and Colombia (15,800 HRW, 7,500 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 32.0 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 87 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 88 percent of exports committed by this date.
