According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2017/18 marketing year, through November 16, 2017 were 16.8 million metric tons (MMT), 5 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 17.7 MMT.

Net sales of 199,800 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2017/18 were down 59 from the previous week, and down 60 percent from the prior 4-week average. Sales were well below trade expectations of 350,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (68,300 MT), Algeria (62,000 MT), Mexico (42,700 MT), Morocco (30,000 MT), Singapore (21,000 MT), and the Philippines (13,700 MT).

USDA forecasts 2017/18 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 27.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 63 percent of total projected exports.
