According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through May 22, 2015 were 23.3 million metric tons (MMT), 27 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 31.7 MMT.

Net sales of 42,500 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2014/2015 were down 43 percent from the previous week and down noticeably from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations between 75,000 metric tons net reduction and 100,000 metric tons net increase. Increases were primarily for Guatemala (16,376 HRW, 4,787 HRS, 5,468 white, 2,189 durum), The Philippines (17,306 HRS, 3,993 SRW, 6,000 white), El Salvador (1,610 HRW, 2,610 HRS, 3,010 white), China (5,375 HRS), Jamaica (-2,818 HRS, 6,687 SRW), and Thailand (-1,135 HRW, 4,374 SRW, 272 white).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 23.4 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 93 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 105 percent of exports committed by this date.
