According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through September 10, 2015 were 10.7 million metric tons (MMT), 14 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 12.4 MMT.

Net sales of 377,500 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were up 30 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 250,000 to 475,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (71,000 HRS, 18,000 white), Taiwan (14,470 HRW, 29,230 HRS, 12,300 white), Canada (29,909 HRS, 24,952 SRW, 38 white), Mexico (10,748 HRW, 6 HRS, 19,649 SRW), Guatemala (15,900 HRW, 4,100 HRS, 8,000 white), and Japan (21 HRW, 27,306 HRS).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 44 percent of total projected exports, on par with the 5-year average.
