According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through June 25, 2015 were 5.85 million metric tons (MMT), 25 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 7.83 MMT.

Net sales totaling 363,900 metric tons were reported for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 and were within trade expectations of 200,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (36,410 HRW, 27,320 HRS, 23,650 white), the Philippines (35,399 HRS, 28,297 white), Nigeria (47,500 HRW), Ecuador (31,565 SRW), Mexico (4,024 HRW, 11,636 HRS, 14,349 SRW), and Nicaragua (23,428 HRW, -200 HRS).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 23 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 28 percent of exports committed by this date.
