According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through November 28, 2013 were 22.6 million metric tons (MMT), 37 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 16.5 MMT.

Net sales of 229,200 MT--a marketing-year low--were reported for the 2013/2014 marketing year were below trade expectations of 450,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Thailand (4,069 HRW, 40,700 HRS, 20,900 white), Japan (44,180 white), Mexico (11,196 HRW, 2,313 HRS, 25,181 SRW), the Philippines (31,000 HRS), and Colombia (13,635 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 29.9 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 76 percent of total projected exports, up from the five-year average of 70 percent of exports committed by this date.
