According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through February 5, 2015 were 20.7 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 27.3 MMT.

Net sales of 409,300 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 3 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for unknown destinations (19,000 HRW, 42,990 SRW, 66,000 white), Taiwan (27,380 HRW, 49,619 HRS, 9,820 white), Thailand (15,000 HRW, 24,500 HRS, 15,500 white), Japan (17,870 HRW, 22,618 HRS, 10,660 white, 1 durum), Brazil (25,000 HRW), and Honduras (380 HRW, 8,629 HRS, 3,675 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 85 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 86 percent of exports committed by this date.
