According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2017/18 marketing year, through November 9, 2017 were 16.8 million metric tons (MMT), 5 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 17.7 MMT.

Net sales of 489,400 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2017/18 were down 37 from the previous week, and down 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. Sales were in line with trade expectations of 350,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (136,800 MT), Indonesia (105,800 MT), Korea (73,000 MT), United Arab Emirates (30,000 MT), Costa Rica (27,000 MT), and Colombia (25,500 MT).

USDA forecasts 2017/18 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 27.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 62 percent of total projected exports.
