According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through February 6, 2014 were 27.3 million metric tons (MMT), 26 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 21.6 MMT.

Net sales of 597,000 MT for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were down 7 percent from the previous week, but up 12 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 450,000 to 750,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (56,837 HRW, 92,482 HRS, 45,160 white), Nigeria (12,650 HRW, 108,000 SRW), Indonesia (20,000 HRS, 40,000 white), Colombia (33,400 HRW, 19,084 SRW), and Yemen (45,000 white).

USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 32.0 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 86 percent of total projected exports, equal to the five-year average of 86 percent of exports committed by this date.
