According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through January 15, 2015 were 19.4 million metric tons (MMT), 23 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 25.3 MMT.

Net sales of 458,400 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 61 percent from the previous week and 69 percent from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations of 250,000 to 375,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (9,000 HRW, 29,099 HRS, 42,454 white), Nigeria (85,155 HRW, -24,000 SRW), Israel (35,541 HRW), Jamaica (20,267 HRS, 11,409 SRW), and Japan (30,030 HRS).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.2 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 77 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 80 percent of exports committed by this date.
