According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through March 12, 2015 were 22.6 million metric tons (MMT), 23 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 29.5 MMT.

Net sales of 391,900 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 12 percent from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 350,000 to 550,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Panama (18,650 HRW, 39,300 HRS, 23,850 SRW), Taiwan (25,385 HRW, 35,150 HRS, 12,900 white), Dominican Republic (42,948 HRW, 3,118 HRS, 25,100 SRW), Indonesia (61,909 HRS, 900 white), Yemen (47,399 white), Peru (33,000 HRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 93 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 96 percent of exports committed by this date.
