According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through July 9, 2015 were 6.48 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 8.48 MMT.

Net sales of 291,500 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were down 16 percent from the previous week and were below trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (10,500 HRW, 27,900 HRS, 18,599 white), Japan (51,975 HRS, 5,000 white), Jamaica (12,000 HRS, 36,000 SRW), Chile (33,000 SRW), Unknown (-6,000 HRW, 37,000 HRS, 1,000 SRW, -10,000 durum), and Morocco (10,301 durum).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 25.9 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 25 percent of total projected exports, on par with the five-year average of exports committed by this date.
