According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through April 16, 2015 were 23.7 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 31.1 MMT.

Net sales of 397,500 metric tons for delivery in 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous and from the prior 4-week average and above trade expectations of zero to 100,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the South Korea (5,320 HRW, 38,300 HRS, 31,800 white), Japan (32,226 HRW, 22,548 HRS, 17,828 white), the Philippines (39,085 HRS, 20,192 white), Taiwan (13,700 HRW, 20,800 HRS, 11,050 white), Mexico (37,319 HRW, 456 HRS, 7,738 SRW), Guatemala (12,479 HRW, 5,065 HRS, 5,160 white), and Peru (25,000 HRW, -8,000 HRS, 3,750 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 99 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 102 percent of exports committed by this date.
