According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through November 5, 2015 were 13.1 million metric tons (MMT), 17 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 15.8 MMT.

Net sales of 226,670 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2015/16 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 38 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 150,000 to 350,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Philippines (36,000 HRS, 30,500 white), Mexico (33,089 HRW, 9,764 SRW), Israel (29,118 HRW), Guatemala (14,797 HRW, 4,603 HRS, 7,000 white), and Algeria (19,714 durum).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 21.8 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 60 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 64 percent.
