According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through April 23, 2015 were 23.2 million metric tons (MMT), 26 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 31.3 MMT.

Net sales reductions of 449,200 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2014/2015--a marketing low--and, which include significant quantities switched to 2015/2016, were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average and below trade expectations of zero to 100,000 MT. Increases were primarily for the Egypt (55,109 HRW), Philippines (900 HRW, 39,264 HRS, -500 SRW, 13,265 white), Japan (33,972 HRW, 358 HRS, 741 white, -300 durum), Colombia (15,930 SRW), United Kingdom (14,193 HRS), Haiti (8,401 HRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.0 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 97 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 102 percent of exports committed by this date.
