According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2014/15 marketing year, through February 19, 2015 were 21.3 million metric tons (MMT), 24 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 28.1 MMT.

Net sales of 328,300 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 23 percent from the previous week, but down 19 percent from the prior 4-week average and within trade expectations of 200,000 to 400,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Japan (21,880 HRW, 24,081 HRS, 22,031 white), Indonesia (37,000 HRS, 18,000 white), Canada (49,312 SRW, -7 white), Mexico (5,784 HRW, -5,664 HRS, 30,129 SRW), Algeria (27,200 durum), and the Dominican Republic (6,000 HRW, 11,600 HRS, 3,000 SRW).

USDA forecasts 2014/15 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 24.5 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 88 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 90 percent of exports committed by this date.
