According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2013/14 marketing year, through May 22, 2014 were 31.7 million metric tons (MMT), 17 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 27.1 MMT.

Net sales reductions of 52,400 metric tons for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year were below trade expectations of zero to 200,000 MT. Increases were primarily for Yemen (47,250 white), South Africa (8,185 SRW), Nigeria (4,350 HRW), Italy (1,660 HRS), Nicaragua (1,650 SRW), and South Korea (320 HRW, 920 HRS, 300 white).
USDA forecasts 2013/14 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 32.3 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 99 percent of total projected exports, below the five-year average of 104 percent of exports committed by this date.
