According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2015/16 marketing year, through October 29, 2015 were 12.8 million metric tons (MMT), 17 percent lower than last year's year-to-date total of 15.4 MMT.

Net sales of 84,600 metric tons (MT) for delivery in marketing year 2015/16 were down 85 percent from the previous week, and 80 percent from the prior 4-week average and below trade expectations of 300,000 to 500,000 MT. Increases were primarily for South Korea (-1,600 HRW, 14,500 HRS, 28,200 white), Honduras (17,599 HRS, 6,829 SRW), Mexico (11,752 HRW, 226 HRS, 8,000 SRW), and Costa Rica (3,700 HRW, 11,766 HRS).

USDA forecasts 2015/16 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 23.1 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 56 percent of total projected exports, behind the 5-year average of 63 percent.
