According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2010/11 marketing year, through May 19, 2011 were 35.378 million metric tons (MMT), 56 percent greater than last year's year-to-date total of 22.666 MMT.

Net sales reductions of 28,300 MT for the 2010/11 marketing year resulted as increases for Egypt (57,936 HRW, 9 SRW, 8,994 white), Mexico (21,603 HRW, 2,350 HRS), Yemen (20,667 HRW), Peru (10,000 HRW), South Korea (1,680 HRW, 3,798 HRS, 200 SRW, 1,692 white), the Philippines (941 HRS, 5,173 white), and Malaysia (500 HRS, 4,000 white). Net sales of 460,600 MT for delivery in 2011/2012 were mainly for unknown destinations (16,500 HRW, -5,500 SRW, 79,200 white), Mexico (29,000 HRW, 44,400 HRS, 6,703 SRW, 8,818 white), Japan (157 HRW, 82,452 HRS), Nigeria (80,000 HRW), and Venezuela (40,500 HRW).

USDA forecasts 2010/11 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to reach 34.70 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 102 percent of total projected exports, down from the five-year average of 104 percent of exports committed by this date.
