|Remaining samples for the 2006 hard red winter harvest continue to trickle in. With the final Montana samples picked up this week, all samples should be received by the end of the week.
- Six additional samples were received since last week’s report. Protein remains unchanged at 13.8 percent, grading #1 overall. Test weights were up slightly to 60.3 lb/bu (79.3 kg/hl).
- Additional milled samples from Colorado reflect approximately 12.0-minute stabilities and W values at 285.
- Additional flour results from Nebraska are showing 14.5-minute stability and W values greater than 315.
More flour and bake information will be forthcoming now that harvest has concluded, and samples will be milled, composited and baked.
