Harvest Report - August 13, 2008
HRW
The hard red winter harvest continues to move northward. With harvest complete in the south and central Great Plains region, the focus is now on the northern Great Plains. This week Wyoming estimates harvest is 90% complete. South Dakota reports 70-75% complete, but harvest was again interrupted by rain. Yields are reported to be above average, but quality remains uncertain. While some areas report test cutting, harvest still has not begun in Montana. On average, HRW harvest is two to three weeks behind.
