Harvest Report - September 21, 2007
Durum
The 2007 durum harvest is almost complete. As of September 16, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service office, harvest was 96% completed, compared to 99% for last year and 80% for the five-year average. As of September 19, the average test weight was 60.1 lb/bu (78.3 kg/hl), thousand kernel weight was 35.3 gm, shrunken and broken kernels were 1.9%, and total defects were 2.3%, slightly higher than last week. The average dockage was 1.6%, compared to last week average of 1.7%.
