As of September 20, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, the durum harvest was 68 percent complete, compared to 91 percent last year, and the five-year average of 86 percent. As of September 25, the average test weight was 61.7 lb/bu (80.3 kg/hl). The average dockage was 1.1% and the average grade was 1 HAD. The average wheat protein content was 13.6% down
slightly from last week's 13.8%. The average falling number was 419 seconds down from last week's 434 seconds, but still indicating a sound crop.
