Harvest Report - June 13, 2008
SRW
Harvest is progressing quite rapidly through Arkansas with early harvest sample collection completed in the southern and central regions of the state. Samples were being collected in the northern region today. In southern Arkansas, average test weight is higher this year compared to 2007. Average protein is down 0.8%. All falling number values were above 300.

The early harvest sampling has also been completed in North Carolina. Partial data is showing an increase in test weight and 1000 kernel weight but a decrease in average protein (12% MB) to 10.1%, from 12.3% in 2007. Falling number average is 360 to date.

Harvesting is just beginning in Virginia, while Missouri and Kentucky were anticipating start-up this week, but that could be delayed since the Midwest has seen many storms this week.
