Harvest Report - June 30, 2006
SRW
Soft red winter harvesting in the Midwest has progressed quickly this year while rains have slowed cutting in Virginia and virtually stopped harvesting in Maryland.

NASS is reporting Missouri 83% complete, Illinois 65% and Indiana 24%. All are ahead of last year’s pace. Sampling has not started in Ohio but should begin by next week.

Cumulative data has changed little from last week. Compared to 2005, protein is 0.8% higher and test weight is 1.6 lb/bu (3.5 kg/hl) higher, although, North Carolina test weights are actually lower this year. Falling number values are running approximately 35 seconds lower than last year.
