The hard red spring harvest continues with approximately 29% of survey samples collected and analyzed.  The average test weight remains at 60.9 lb/bu (80.1 kg/hl) which is higher than the average of 60.1 lb/bu (79.1 kg/hl) for last year.  Average protein content is 14.7% which is similar to last year's average of 14.8%.  Falling number average remains over 400 seconds indicating a sound crop thus far.  Average vitreous kernel content is 79%.
