The soft white wheat harvest continues to be behind in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington compared to this time last year. No measurable rain has been reported in the major wheat producing areas of the Pacific Northwest. This week's 35 soft white samples consist of 36% from north central and northeastern Oregon, 62% from north central and southeastern Washington, and 2% from southwestern Idaho. This week's weighted averages indicated good test weight at 60.8 lb/bu (80.0 kg/hl), low moisture content at 9.6%, low protein at 9.1%, and sound falling number value at 314 seconds.
