The Pacific Northwest wheat harvest is about one week behind in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington compared to last year, and almost two weeks behind the five-year averages. The weather in the major wheat producing areas of the Pacific Northwest continues to be favorable for harvest. This week's 84 soft white samples consist of 56% from western, north central, and southeastern Washington, 27% from western, north central, and northeastern Oregon, and 16% from northern and southern Idaho. This week's weighted averages indicated good test weight at 60.0 lb/bu (79.0 kg/hl), low moisture content at 9.6%, low protein at 9.4%, and sound falling number value at 336 seconds.
