As of September 6, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, durum harvest was 26 percent complete, compared to 73 percent at this time last year, and the five-year average of 72 percent. As of September 11, the average test weight was 61.5 lb/bu (80.1 kg/hl) and the average dockage was 0.8 percent. The average wheat protein content was 13.8 percent. The average falling number was 463 seconds indicating the crop is sound thus far. Preliminary grading information is not yet available.
