As of September 13, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, durum harvest was 40 percent complete, compared to 81 percent last year, and the five-year average of 80 percent. As of September 18, the average test weight was 61.6 lb/bu (80.2 kg/hl). The average dockage was 1.2% up from last week's 0.8%. The average wheat protein content was 13.8 percent the same as last week. The average falling number was 434 seconds down from last week's 463 seconds, but still indicates a sound crop. The average grade was 1 HAD.
