The Pacific Northwest wheat harvest remains one week behind in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington compared to last year, and about two weeks behind the five-year averages in all three states. The weather in the major wheat producing areas of the Pacific Northwest continues to be favorable for harvest. This week's 75 soft white samples consist of 53% from western, north central, and southeastern Washington, 25% from western, north central, and northeastern Oregon, and 23% from northern and southern Idaho. This week's weighted averages indicate good test weight at 60.5 lb/bu (79.6 kg/hl), low moisture content at 9.7%, low protein at 9.1%, and good falling number value at 311 seconds.
